Looking for a ridgid fork and seen the Exotic Monocoque. Does anyone have any experience of these forks or any others to consider?

Miner RDO if you can find one are the best I’ve had in use down to design of the shape of legs.

They are almost triangular bladed but in the right direction unlike the X-Lite version of them which were horrible to ride on.

Both were 15mm axle btw. The RDO being tapered and the X-Lite being straight steerer.

Miner truly are the best but since they stopped getting them produced, others have since come along like Travers, Enve etc which I have no experience of. Whisky components look quite good. Worthy of a looksee if on offer.

I have two Exotic monocoques, one QR and one 15mm. Both have been great; lightish, well-finished, tough. I'd buy again. The only grumble is the 15mm has a fairly big 'bolt' on the threaded side, which could be 'slicker'.

Had one and it suffered with brake jack. Best fork I used was a Travers Prong. In the classifieds now if you are interested as back to one bike.

Brake jack on a rigid fork...how does that work, then? I thought brake jack related to rear suspension design?

The kids bikes have them, whilst that certainly makes it hard for me to gauge how they ride the construction is great.

Probably got the wrong term, did wonder.
Force transmitted from the brake, to the fork causing it to flex. Then perhaps overcoming the calliper to allow some rotation of the wheel before starting over. Leads to severe judder on braking. Never had this issue with the travers - I assumed because it did not flex in the same way
The term brake jack is perhaps more correctly applied to effects of braking on rear triangle and suspension characteristics

Had a couple over the years and found them very good for the money. They will flex if you slam on the front brake but about 100% less than Pace XC31 did when I used those (they flex so visibly it didn't look right at all)
