Good morning!

Could someone tell me if there is any big difference in how your body exercises on each bike, please?

Mrs Medoramas has signed up for some seriously strict fitness/weightloss program and one of the routines is riding on recumbent bike.

If she used a "standard type" one, would it be something totally different? It's about getting into a specified HR zone and stay in it during specified time. However that "recumbent" thing is confusing...

Thanks!

It will be harder to sustain a higher heart rate zone on the recumbent. Worse, long periods on the seat (as opposed to a saddle) with weight taken through soft tissues, is not a pleasant experience.

I have a recumbent trike and the seat is far more comfortable than the recumbent exercise bikes I ride in hotels when I am away. An hour on an exercise bike can be torture.
