Just checked on Google earth and it seems the ex Santa Cruz then Specialized demo shop opposite the pub has shut down
I know the guys running it when it was Santa Cruz moved to just outside the village when Spesh took over
Google earth shows the shop empty and a for let sign up, Google say the photo was taken in 2024
Can someone confirm this? im in the Surrey hills on Sunday and wanted to sit on some Spesh bikes to check out sizing and feel
Wouldn't surprise me, never known a shop that continually looks down at everyone, about 100% more expensive than anywhere else.
With the amount of riders and right next to the tea shop, it could be a great place.
A mate has arranged to hire an Ebike from there for Monday. So they were open in the week.
Yh right! They always seemed pricey as f!
Dunno bout attitude issues directly though wouldn't surprise me.
I genuinely hate bike shops with a passion if I get that jibe nonsense.
Cheers for the replies
It seems i didnt notice on Google earth that the picture has 2021 lightly stamped on it and instead i saw it say@2024Google at the bottom of the image so im guessing the pic is from when the Santa Cruz shop left and before the Spesh one opened
Will pop in there on Sunday and try a few out
It goes under this guise these days, looks like they still have Spesh bikes. https://www.theridershub.co.uk/
Looked open today as I went past.

We hired a bike off them in the summer when Mrs Kilo’s broke when being assembled in the car park at the top of Radnor lane. They seemed fine, went through their bin of old spares to see if they had a maxle to fit and looked after Mrs kilo’s bike as we didn’t want to leave it on show in the back of a car whilst we were out. Hire bike was great and led to the wife buying a decent xc 29er so taken with it was she.
Can’t say it struck me as a “proper” lbs, if that makes sense, seemed more if a bike hire place with a selection of emergency spares available.

The Santa Cruz dealer moved elsewhere and the bike hire lot moved into the little shop. I don't think there is any connection between the two businesses.
It was open when I looked this morning, but is no longer a Specialized bike dealer. It is now a hire shop called The Riders Hub. But they did seem to have Specialized bikes available for you to hire. Here is a link:
Cheers, not wanting to demo, just want to sit on a couple to see about sizing

They're mainly rental (though I think they do ex-rental sales) and like many shops now don't carry a lot of parts/accessories stock because they've not got a lot of space, and people tend to buy that online. But they've got your 'out for a ride and forgotten...' stuff. They have a decent workshop and mechanic and do service work for any brand of bike.
Pedal and Spoke (Santa Cruz dealer) has packed it in now, was always a bit of a lifestyle business, shame as Howard was a nice guy. The new business in the shop has always been a hire place rather than shop. I think it’s run by one of the lads that used to work at P&S.
