Morning all,

I'm was hoping I could get a little advice regarding my recent purchase of a Breezer Cloud 9 Pro and some unspecified changes I have since discoverd.

The Bike was advertised as completely standard, in great condition, merely a little superficial damage, chips and scratches. For the untrained eye that is exactly what it is.

However......

There's been a few changes the first is definitely for the better, Recon TK Gold for Reba RLs, the second is the seat post which bothers me not, I'll be popping a Joplin 4 in it's stead.

The third obvious change is the chainset (crankset for our US brothers) has been changed from the original SRAM X7 S1400 2x10 GXP to a Shimano M552 3x10. Clearly the M552 is an inferior product, I guess it has given me an extra 10 gears, unnecessary but a benefit some might say.

As best I can tell there shouldn't be any compatability issues and I would expect it to have been professionally installed. The problem is I'm as technical as lettuce when it comes down to it, can any of you envisage any major issues with this change.

Thanks in advance,
John.

The change that would worry me the most is recons , rebas are the better fork. Sounds dodgy to me I would be having words tbh

Think I misread if you have rebas thats a good change I thought you had the recons sorry. I would definatly question why the crankset is differant to advertised though

it had recons and now has rebas..... thats a win

you wont notice ANY difference in the chainset...

you win on the fork , lose "slightly" on the chainset ... seems fair to me.

Chainset isn't even a 'lose' really, imo. Shimano have better BBs, and fitting, and the weight on the two (arms only) is pretty much identical. I have both an s1400 and Deore chainset and the only 'better' thing about the SRAM one is the option to run it spiderless. There will be no compatibility issues if it's all been set up correctly.

I'd keep quiet they might switch you back to the recons.

Yeah the Recon > Reba upgrade is sound 🙂

I was concerned that the change may have resulted in excessive wear and tear on the casette and deraileurs, if there were any unknown (to me) sizing/compatability issues.
