Yes, Yes and Yes.

I use mine on longer rides and when I need the safety aspect of it. The rest of the time I get away with a lightweight 10l pack but do miss the extra support of the hip and chest straps on the FR.

looking to the 20l myself at the moment... measuring my torso is the hardest bit.

I was shocked at how big it was. Got a 10l freeride and it is all I need. But it is a bit of a squeeze!

I found a link on the American importers site that gave a more detailed explanation of how to measure your back. Made me more confident ordering the size I did after that. I went with the trail version rather than the freeride. After all, I've been riding trails for over 25 years so I'm too old for this freeride bollocks.

It is a lot of pack though. I normally save it for days in the Peak and foreign holidays.

As was mentioned earlier, yes, yes and yes although mine is the team version and not the blackline.

I use mine every ride, but it is a little big when out on local stuff where I'm only out for a couple of hours so I'm thinking of picking up something smaller for those types of rides but I guess it depends on what you want to stuff in it.

I like the look of these for longer rides, anyone got one they want to sell or seen any good deals? I'm 5'10 so i think i'd fall into the M/L size.

Hi
Just to confuse things further I'm 6ft and have 2 Evoc packs
Can't remember the model names but the 10 is a M/L and the 16 is S/M
I bought the 16 as it was cheap and thought I'd take a chance as the height was very similar to the Camelbak it replaced. I dropped the shoulder straps so that the bag sits further down my back and it's very comfortable. The 10 is noticeably longer but also comfortable.
What is perhaps more relevant is that the waistband on the 16 isn't as big so is slightly snug on my expanding waistline!!!!!
IIRC also although the bigger pack is called a 16 I think when you buy the shorter version the capacity drops to 14l so for me is more useable for most of the time. I may have got this wrong though
Cheers
Steve
