Anyone got one of these? I'm very tempted to get one but was wondering if anyone used it for anything other than biking - they look like they might make quite a good running pack too with the stretchy waist belt.
I'll be watching this thread as i was debating a pack for riding, my internal frame box isn't big enough for a phone etc so was looking at Blacks the other day for the rides we've got planned next week.

But i don't know what will be the right size etc until i go and try a few.
Banging, I've been using one for two years now, Ms. RM like the look and got one for her jogging shenanigans. Big fan.
Worth grabbing the aftermarket rain cover too.
Yep, i love mine for riding.
I haven't tried it for running but based on the support you get from the wide belt, i should imagine it would work well.
Def recommend getting one for riding
Love mine for riding, the waist belt is really good. Don't run but can't see why it wouldn't be good for that too
It's ok. Expensive and little gimmicky IMV. Check out osprey's offerings. Better vfm and osprey recently returned a repaired pack to me repaired foc at about 7 years old and ridden with three times a week. It needed repairing because I'd bounced it off tarmac and trees at speed on separate occasions.
Awesome pack
I had the Dakine one and having a stoma the faking wasn’t as comfortable
The Evos strap is wider,Stretchy and way more comfy, can even have it sitting on my stomach without being annoying
We’ll worth a buy
Gimmicky? Well there's some rubbish, you want to qualify that?
There's a reason this is strapped around the waist of lots of riders at races and on the trails and routinely gets best on test in comparative reviews.
Mountain Warehouse. £4.99 actually a decent enough size for everything i need. Went in there as i was out getting ice-cream and a ride on the off chance they'd have something.... Sweet.
I've got the Evoc 1l version and like it alot. Have to have it as tight as it goes for my small waist though. But comfortable and doesn't bounce about.
Brilliant piece of kit. I tried to use a budget Berghaus and then a more featured Camelbak offering. Both rubbish compared to the EVOC. It just doesn’t move about once in place, can carry 2 bottles, tools, jacket and lunch.
Recommended.

Agree the first one wasn't very good, it never stayed in place. but the most recent with those extra pull straps and velcro + buckle the thing never moves.
Got one. Not massively convinced. I got the one with the bladder. The hose is too short to comfortably use and the pack seriously loosens off as the bladder empties. You have to stop and readjust the pack once you've drunk a bit. I'm not sure how much I'll us it in the end. If did make me buy some new pack tool, which are much smaller and seem pretty darned good. Makes my backpack a lot lighter, which is cracking.
i have one. it’s great.
I really like mine. Had it a few years now. Comfy, roomy and secure. The Dakine Stealth is good too, if you just want to carry a phone, a multi tool and not much else.
I’m very tempted to get one
It's being replaced with a new model this year I think, so you might either want to wait for that, or get one soon, as stocks will run out.
The £5 I didn't even notice was there this morning
I’ve got the Camelbak repack which I imagine is similar. It’s good without the bladder in and sensible levels of stuff. If you make it too heavy it can bounce too much I find. Trying it today for the first time in a while with the bladder in so will see how that goes.
Got my eye on the Camelbak Skyline LR10 at the moment - toying with trying one of those to replace my bigger can go backpack / hydration thing. Want something to at carries the weight lower down than a big pack pack so my shoulder feels a bit ‘freer’, but bigger than a bouncy hip pack.
The elastic waist belt is kind of useful when you're putting the pack on but I have the belt tightened down almost as far as it will go and I'm a 31 waist with an ale drinkers profile.
The airvent strap thing they make such a massive deal of in their blurb is pointless and unless you tighten that down the thing bounces around.
The water bottle holders are nets with a bit of bungy at the top. Try getting a bottle back in there while you're riding.
The side pockets aren't big enough. It would be nice to get a moderately sized phone in there.
I use it, it's ok, I think there's better out there for less money.

I think the elasticated waist on the EVO solves a problem that many (ahem) "sturdy" bikers find with the repack is that it's pretty much limited to folks who's waist size is less than about 36" I reckon.
Worth grabbing the aftermarket rain cover too.
Seconded. Managed to get the official one at a reasonable price, main benefit for me has been ease of rinsing mud off. Does mean you can't put bottles in the pockets though, but it gets a bit bouncy for active riding with the weight of a bottle in anyway.
Love mine. Had 3 different packs before this, and it is easily my favorite.
I really like the tightening function (little blue tabs on the side) that you can use to loosen it on climbs, then cinch it up on the downs. I expect most people dont use this, but I really like it.
The wide stretchy waist band really spreads the load great. I like it so much I also bought an Evoc back pack for longer rides, with the same style wide/stretchy waist band.
+1
Brilliant bit of kit once they'd sorted out the belt, as the early model would slip as the bladder emptied.
Pretty much everybody I ride with has one.
I have one and a couple of the Osprey belts too. I used the Osprey belts for years, but probably prefer the comfort from the wider strap on the Evoc pack. The bladder works fine for me, although I usually just take bottles.
