Anyone used these? I imagine they must be good given the price, but real-world experiences would be good to know.

We've got a couple of foreign bike trips coming up and would like them to be in one piece at the toher end.....

Simply brilliant.. have used various bags at various prices and must say these make taking your bike on a plane so much easier... Not to heavy, easy to wheel along, holds it self up nicely, and plenty of padding in the right areas 🙂

Wheels fit nicely in their compartment.. one guy from are club on trip used his 29r and just about got them in!! very tight squeeze mind..

Inside the bag its self has some nice features to strap your bike and help protect it!! seatpost dropped or taken out and handlebars off fits in perfect..

Only thing to note is they are quite wide to normal bike bags with the bag wheels at one end and with a few of these bags fitting in a truck was much tighter!!

xcstu thanks that's really helpful feedback. I thought they were good. They sound perfect, now just got to track a couple down in a sale.

Cheers

We rate ours although I did swap the grey PVC reinforcement for alloy tubing. I'd prefer a hardcase like the allenbox but there's no way I'd reach the weight limit with one of those.

Upgraded to one of these from a basic crc one for a trip to NZ and I was really glad i did. Fantastic build quality and everything just seems right when you stick the bike in. Judging the scuffs and scrapes on the outside, it didnt have a particularly easy trip but withstood the punishment well and the bike was unscathed.

It's great, buy one. I can pack a bike in ten minutes, unpack slightly quicker. I'm confident enough to put my expensive carbon road bike in it.

they are very good and i still use one but SAS airlines have still managed to crack a frame at the dropouts during transit once.

and they refused to pay out by saying the bag wasnt good enough to carry an expensive bike in it.

Was told by a guiding company recently that the Chain Reaction soft bag was a reasonable facsimile of the Evoc bag. Can anyone comment?

I don't think CRC do that version any more do they - I can only find their cheap n chearful one on the website.

I feel they may have had a few patent wrists slapped!

Highly recommended easy to pack & move once full.
I got mine for under £200 in the Leisurelakes sale & it is superb, here is my XL 5 spot with pads, helmet, boots & box of spares etc came in @ 29kg

As everyone has said above, I really like mine. One of the many nice features is the block which the BB sits on, which keeps the chainrings off the bottom of the bag. Loads of straps to secure the bike and bits tight inside the bag. Mine has been on at least 20 flights to date and never any issue, often I don't even bother taking the pedals off.

Easy to wheel around too.

My only regret is not buying the multi-coloured one from Wiggle before they put the price up so they were significantly more than the plain ones.

Cheers, Rich

Yes, only had the Reverb a week when I went to the Alps & wanted a back up just in case.
