Hi everyone.

I was hoping someone could point me in the right direction. I’ve just acquired an EVOC bike bag from a mate. The block that the frame sits on in the bag is missing and I need to try and find a replacement, but I’ve spent a while tonight looking online and can’t see anywhere selling these. Does anyone know where I can buy one?

It’s the part in my screenshot below

Many Thanks.

Andy

personally I wouldnt bother and I'd invest in one of the frame stands they do.
better support for the bike and looks trick when you unload and rebuild the bike 🙂

Hmmm. Thanks, I hadn’t seen those (or hadn’t realised what they are). I’m away to investigate… Cheers!

Couldn’t you just make one from a block of foam (roof insulation off cut perhaps?) wrapped in Gorilla Tape? That way you could make it fit your frame perfectly and it would be I'm guessing a lot lighter than the 1kg aluminium frame option and a fair bit cheaper too?

Should have also added, I tend to also use foam pipe lagging cut in to appropriate lengths to go on fork stanchions, cranks etc which weigh nothing but definitely make the bike more damage proof.

My original plan was to make something if I can’t find the original part I need. I will work something out. Those frames do seem dear and potentially heavy, but it’s good to know I have that option too.

Go and find a local builder and see if they have any kingspan / insulation board offcuts. A bread knife for cutting and a roll of tape will finish the job.

Email EVOC’s UK distributor.

Didn't know you could buy the pro frame separate (oh that isn't the same frame as in the pro bag and fgf chant "how much"), might (not) do that. For replacing the bock, maybe a cheep yoga block from sports direct/tkmax/Amazon. When we had cheaper bike bags I used those to make dropout/corner protection.

I reckon I can make something pretty decent. I’ll try emailing the distributor too and see what happens.

Thanks folks.
