You don't need to be an 'investor' to invest in Singletrack: 6 days left: 95% of target - Find out more
Morning all.
Seen a good deal on the above in size large.
I'm 6ft 2 and even though the Evil website recommends the large for up to 6ft 4, its shorter in reach (but slightly longer in the toptube) than my previous bike, a Transition Scout (size large).
The Evil also has a shorter wheelbase.
Struggling to find one to sit on in the North West.
Should i really aim for an XL?
Are they being discounted already? It seems like only yesterday when you couldn't get one for love nor money.
Ex-display, full bike.
OK, fair enough. I had a quick google and found 5% off a new frame pretty quickly, which is still a bit of a surprise for such a new bike. Still, this is no help. Hopefully some of the owners on here will be along soon to answer your original question.
I'm 6'2" (34" inside leg) and have an XL, use a nice short 50mm stem and am happy as buggery about the sizing. Spent a lot of time worrying about it but made the right decision in my mind, as climbing is easier and I feel more confident when it gets sketchy coming back down..
I've had a go on a large, admittedly round the block and setup for some-one shorter than me, and am still happy with my XL. I could have fit the large, using a longer stem and the seat all the way back, as per all my previous large bikes, but I didn't want to repeat this 'poor' setup.
Huge thread on MTBR with loads of talk about what size to buy, but it's not conclusive one way or another.
The move up in sizing, has made me decide to dump my current HT and buy an XL one instead (only for winter use mind)
Oh and it's going strong and I love it, there's not another full susser I'd be interested in swapping it for
Thanks Z1ppy, that pretty much convinces me that i should be on an XL.
Think i was blinded by the discount!
it's hard to ignore a bargain!
I can't say for sure you couldn't make a large work for you, but I like my XL
