Gonna be getting a new bike at some point this year. Evil The Following is currently high on the shortlist.
Looking for feedback from owners on how the complicated linkage copes with the British weather? Do the bearings and bushings last well? Are they easy to replace etc ...
The Delta linkage is a single pivot with a shock linkage. It isn't as complicated as it looks. It looks complicated because of the flip chip system which has 3 bolts per side which people mistake for linkage bearings. I've had a Following V1 for 6 years and had the bearings replaced twice. The last time by MB Cyclery who commented that it was one of the easiest bikes to change...
I have a Following MB and swapped the bearings after 2 years because I thought I should but they weren't particularly rough. Swapping them was easy enough but suggest a proper press for refitting.
I have a following and an offering, no bushings, bearings last well and are very straight forward to change. A full bearing set is also reasonably prices direct from Evil's website.

Cool thanks all thats helped put me at ease. Photos of the linkage make it look complicated but after a bit of time you can work it out and it doesn't seem so crazy.
Are the bearings standard sizes you can get anywhere or custom sizes only available from Evil?
They do list the sizes on the website. I've just replaced mine with some from Kinetic, but not massively impressed - did some cleaning the other day and noticed they'd started to get notch after only a couple of months, could be a one-off, but will probably stick to Evil's in the future.
