What a fantastic idea, everyone must admit that as they are navigating a trail it doesn't often come into your mind how it became or the amount of work thats been involved. Would love to see something similar in the UK.

Great stuff that î have seen areas where the FC have done this, maybe not so much detail though.

When I go to the wild the last thing I want to see is evidence of my fellow man.

Its like mount Rushmore, vandalism!

So you never follow any trails then I'm guessing. Just strike out into the undergrowth?

Me like that.

Not sure how many people would go to the trouble of producing simular in the UK. Would possibly lead to a little more respect for the build process though.

Superb work from you and the builders.
I like the fact it's on an up-hill riding trail as well, or there'd be carnage from the distraction. 😀

I'm sure it would. I seem to remember Gisburn has/had some sort of information 'board' near the hub but nothing out on the trails.

That's great!

I don't know about any other volunteer groups, but as the Glentress Trailfairies are run by two very overworked rangers and staffed by volunteers who are there for the trailbuilding (and the banter and the cakes), we're not very on the ball when it comes to publicising what we do and explaining to others the effort involved in building and maintaining MTB trails. Anything that helps improve the public's understanding of it all is to be commended. Making art out of it too is doubly impressive.

For me, that's not what it is about at all.

Nominative determinism in action

TLDR = This was designed to be ridden UP
