Been away for work all week and not out on the bike, just come back from first ride and legs have been torn to shreds on brambles and gourse. Whats good to ease the sting, or just embrace it?
Still great feeling getting out in shorts and a tshirt though.

Growacet, I cant believe I looked that up, good one.
Not too bothered really but got ripped up pretty good right at the end the ride.

Stinger and bramble scares are a sign of a good summer ride, just like mud up your crack is the sign of a good winter ride.

Actually I've still got faint white scars on my arms from a particularly nasty bramble incident two years ago...

It's when they get caught inside the elbow and really rake across you rather than just a brush contact.

First bushy ride of the summer Wednesday night - shins still have the nettle tingle, and why do whippy brambles always catch the inside of your elbow?

I had to explain to my doctor that I wasn't self-harming and the scars on my arms were actually from having loads of fun and being happy.

Just wear it as a badge of honour, proves you venture outside of the trail centre and are badass 😉

This was my leg after flying down a cheeky little descent in the FOD back in March:

You go flying round a bush that blocks your view so I didn't see it at all! Had been perfectly clear the week before 😳

The tingling sensation afterwards is strangely good though
