Is anyone racing in the Go Race series of evening CX?
I think I'll be up for at least one round, perhaps take the kids to race too?
What are the chances of a burger van?
I'm doing them (and I put that link up 🙂
Did some of the winter races but looking forward to riding in the dry
burger van.. not sure But I could get my GF to make some excellent vege food 🙂
I might speak to the council/race organisers about catering. i've never seen any catering at these events and my GF has just set up a catering business
Hmmm..
I'm glad there's some interest, fingers crossed for some decent (warm) weather.
I've raced at hengrove before (bit dull) what are the other venues like?
Catering would be great for those of us with families, bring the whole bunch and make an evening of it, although a car park picnic is probably more in the spirit of cx!
Some caterers, more young 'uns and a bit more atmosphere certainly wouldn't go amiss at Bristol CX events. I think having catering gives the organisers a few more hoops to jump through at the permissions stage (I've been asked for stuff like copies of food hygiene certificates before) but nothing insurmountable.
The other courses have more up and down than Hengrove, even if they're not sweet singletrack-fests. Warmley is particularly good.
awesome.. I'm going to ask around and see where i'd get. Would love summer cyclocross to kick off as it were
anyone bring cowbells to bang about?
Cowbells? My wife brought ours along one winter and got complaints. Cyclo-cross should be performed in silence it would seem....!
I'll be at a few of them, I love 'cross. Proper outdoor sport for men....(and women, obviously)
I fancy giving them a go, can you just turn up and enter on the evening?
complaints! what's wrong with em.. that;s what it's about
Yep, cus it's go race you can turn up on any bike and have a go

We brought a cowbell along before, but after ringing it merrily for the first few laps it dawned on me that it might be a bit awkward if someone mistook it for the final lap bell. Not to mention borderline psychological torture. 🙂
Did a few last year and will be doing them this year.
Turn up and ride, you will have to pay a couple of quid extra for a day licence if you do not have a BC racing licence.
