Yesterday I was looking at an Arkose 5 at work on their desktop site, which was listed at the odd price of £1208.33 then marked down 17% to £1000 & when i had another look at night on my tablet, it was listed at £1450 & marked down 17% to £1200. I've checked again this morning & it's the same, £1000 on the desktop site & £1200 when i look on my phone. The other oddity is that there are a lot less brands listed on the desktop site (e.g. specialized aren't on there, but they are on the mobile site). I am temped to scoop what seems like a bargain, but am wondering if maybe the site has been messed with & i may just get scammed?
It seems to try to autodetect where you are - which comes as non-UK sometimes (when I'm at one client I'm sure their proxy goes out via the US) and shows prices without VAT. It would make sense that some brands they wouldn't sell to non-UK too.
Up on the top right of the page you can manually set currency and location.
I'll 2nd the location point. 2 of us at work looking at the same product saw different prices. One showed VAT the other didn't.
You can change location/currency in the top right corner of the site
Not related but I'm just getting the 'Evans Cycles Queue Page' at the moment, I wouldn't mind but the position keeps changing without rhyme or reason.
