My workplace sends me to Bristol tomorrow for a training and I though I'd use the opportunity to return my faulty MT500 overshoes to them. I don't know the city very well. How is the "free customer car park" there after 5 PM?

There are only two or three spaces, and the traffic will be grim - can you walk there from your training venue? Where will you be?
I'll be in Avonmouth, so a bit of a walk I suppose...
It's a tiny carpark and hard to get into from the road. At 5 the road will be busy too so even harder to manoeuvre. You might get lucky and there's a space right by the ramp, total pot luck. It's pretty common to double park and block people in too.
It's not far from the main bus station in Broadmead so you might be able to catch something in from Avonmouth.
If it's a quick drop off then just double park in front of the Evans spots. Worst case there is the Rupert Street Car Park (NCP) just behind them (follow the one way scheme around the back).
yeah just double park, it is customer parking anyway so maybe put a note in your window "just popped into store".
The only problem you will have is getting to the store itself as it's right in the middle of town and heading in from Avonmouth won't be fun, presumably down the Portway which will be rammed. This is one of those instances when paying for a courier will work out more cost effective if you value your time and sanity.
