I know it's full this year but I wonder about going.

My 88 Jockhopper (Scots issue only) does not qualify, but I see they allow Bromptons, albeit pre 87, which I didn't know they existed. I have a Nigel Dean that is pre 87 in rat bike mode tho.

What's it like? Epicentre of bike hipsters?

Have they routed round the damaged bridge on the High Peak Trail at Longcliffe? DCC have managed to close the trail 200m short of the concession bridleway and 400m short of the station at Longcliffe which would have been the sensible (least disruptive) places to close the trail. Looks like some egit from Highways just drew a random line on the map.

Difficult to answer until we know whether you are going or not 🙂

Not ridden it but a few folks I know have and enjoyed it. We went to the Saturday entertainment stuff when it was at Bakewell show ground a few years back. Quite hipstery but useful bike jumble stuff. Keep meaning to get an old tandem and do it with the missus. Dropping down into eyam with non existent brakes 2 up looks like such fun!

Just the ride this year, no festival.

I've marshalled the route a couple of times. Great atmosphere on the ride, from full costume day trippers to wannabe retro racers - and a couple of real retro racers like Malcolm Elliott.

Not made it to the festival itself, looks hipster central, but I would imagine still be entertaining unless you are the type that likes to sneer at other peoples foibles.

Not done eroica but done the retro-ronde a couple of times.  It's a fun day out and the more that people get into it, the more fun it is.  It's still best to go with someone as in the end it's a longish ride and that's nicer in good company

I have done Britannia a couple of times.

The festival is a bit hipsterish, but ignore that and join the cycle enthusiasts on the ride.

Its the ride and old cycles for me.

Retro Ronde is on the Bucket List.
