So, I have been doing some maintenance. Changing frame/suspension bearings. Fork & dropper post have been removed for servicing etc.

I found this grub screw on the mat:
grub screw

Where did it come from?
bike

(I have already re-fitted the 2 grub screws that help hold the rocker pivot and the chainstay pivot together!)

So will I die?

Does it hold the cable in place for the dropper? (I’ve never used/seen a dropper so no idea if this is how the cable attaches)

Dropper cable attachment. My latest one has one on each side of the cable.

It's not the dropper cable end bit - I have already fitted that. Also it is slightly smaller than that grub screw.

It'll be from your grans hearing aid then.

Ride it and see what bit falls off. As soon as you're released from A&E put the grub screw into that bit.

Do you have a lockout top cap on your fork?

I’m fairly certain it is to do with brake lever... :/

Could be for cable attachment to a Poploc (if you have one) on the fork.

I think my fork has all the bits attached properly. It's a pike - grub screw is in the red rebound knob. Blue Charger knob held on with Allen key.

I don't think it is either axle either! The seem to be fine, no obvious missing bits.

It’s from your other bike. The one that stopped working for no apparent reason after last time you fettled with it. Either that or it’s from your Grandad’s meccano.

I really don't think it is a male screw:
Front maxle doesn't seem to need a grub scew. Rear maxle already has one.

It might well be from my brakes. They are Shimano SlX!?

Also could it be from one of the tools?

I think its a humidensfier plate retaining screw. It sits on top of the double locking sprocket.

Do you have FSA crankset? The bb bearing tensioner is held with a small grub screw.

We're selling the op short here.

I see the room of a lover...
A passionate fire burns beneath a harsh, stark exterior.
A deep yearning that can only be expressed via the emotional maelstrom that is crochet.

Her name...I'm guessing something to do with the number 12?

Kona Process?

I have already re-fitted the 2 grub screws that help hold the rocker pivot and the chainstay pivot together

It does look like one of the locking screws from one of the pivot bearing axles - I can't remember for sure, but are there 2 grub screws on the main pivot (at 90° to each other)?
