Anyone else given these a go yet? Just been for my first proper ride with them and they seem decent.

I had been running the GE1 Evo Factorys before I put these on. Both quality grips and although the almost pistol-grip like feel of the GE1s is great when you first grab them, these are a bit more cushioned - there's one downhill section on a local loop that always buzzed my hands a bit, but not with the GDHs on. Also, the tapered end on the GE1 adds about 10mm to the end of each bar which always pissed me off - I was loathed to chop my bars down for one specific set of grips.

They're on the shortlist for my next grips just under OneUp's thick grips, their mushroom section tips the scales in OneUp's favour.

Just googled those OneUps, hadn't come across those before. They look similar in design to DMR Deathgrips (which I have had and liked before) and most OneUp things are very good.

I know what you mean about mushroom grips, I think they're the best grip pattern if you ride without gloves. But I always ride with thin gloves on these days and like a slightly harder contact point. The GDH grips are softer and stickier than any other previous Ergons, really grippy with gloves. But still don't think they are as good as mushroom style without or just in general if you like that style of grip.

Thank you for the info OP, my current pairs of GE1's are wearing out, I did order some of the GFR grips, but they felt a bit slim for my liking. Will see if can pick some of these up and give them a whirl!

I reckon you’ll like the GDHs then. A little fatter and more cushioned than GE1s without being huge.

I found out last summer that for really heavy sweater like myself the OneUp thick grips don't work without gloves - they become very slippery when impregnated with sweat.

Currently running GA2 Fat grips which are slightly too fat but normal GA2s feel bit slim without  gloves. SQlab 7OX were pretty good too but the spot where I keep my thumbs wore out in 3 months.

ODI Refllex is another option to the GDH, come in xl as well.

Good damping and load of grip so I dont end up clamping my fist on the bar!
