So I'm hunting down a creak and doing one suspect area at a time. Last time I went through this exercise it was the GXP BB. Just checking I have been using the right substance. What should I use on bolts, regular grease? How about bottom bracket threads, copper slip? Under the cassette (not that I think that's creaking), copper slip?
Any thoughts greatly appreciated?
Cheers

I always start with the seat - spray rails with gt85 and then check pedals - dry bushings whatever. 9 times out of ten its been one of those 2. IME
The old saying is wherever you think the creak is coming from, don't look there.
I was convinced my BB was creaking, so had that on and off 2 or 3 times. It turned out the creak was from my rear wheel, the skewer wasn't done up tight enough... 😳
My BB/stem/saddle creak turned out to be my pedals 🙄
