Found it, rode it, brilliant. But then I had to go and ruin it by coming back Over the Summit of Skiddaw.
28miles and 6500' of climbing, most of which was done with a bike on me back. I'm ruined. Heres the fun!

Great calva? How was it?
So what happened at skiddaw?
Bottled Ullock. Wind was howling but more importantly I was utterly shagged out from the climb up Bakestones. Ullock ridge was rammed with walkers and I was on my own. So went down the tourist track.
Carlside's a good / techie / quicker alternative to Ullock Dave (although it's an after 5pm route like Ullock, once the walkers have all gone home).
