So I need to tighten the lockring on my ep801 and Shimano sell the tool for £50 and Park do one for £30 (I think). It’s different to the one for the previous gen motor (which is an arse).
I just wondered if anyone has found a cheaper one anywhere as I don’t envision using it that many times and would rather not spend that much money on something that will be consigned to the ‘defunct BB tool drawer’ with all the other ones.

I bought a cheap one but it was too thick to fit between the nut and the ring. I had to turn down the OD in my lathe. Be warned!
Cheers, I guess it’s £30 then
Beware, if its the same Park one I got - needs a 36mm spanner! Even my biggest adjustable doesn’t go that big… why the hell can’t they have some sodding standard?! I had to bodge with molgrips ( not him, the things 😊 )

like a 1/2” drive you can attach a torque wrench to? Way too practical
Exactly!
