Anyone know anything about how nice ENVE are regarding broken carbon road wheels?

On our Saturday group road ride yesterday, one line of our pack hit a shallow pot hole at 30 mph, causing problems for three bikes. We had one set of handlebars drop dramatically, my front tubeless tyres snake bited against the rim, but the worst victim had his rear ENVE carbon rim fracture...

Is he likely to get a warranty replacement from them?

I've struggled recently a little with Enve due to stock shortages but they didn't argue with the issue.

Some of their stuff is actually from asia (forms, stems etc) so gets caught up in the back log. Wheels were USA made so maybe less of an issue?

But a recent issue with a fork axel still has not been resolved due to equipment coming from abroad.

I also had a brand new Enve rim with a fault and that was dealt with but I can't say I was amazed at the experience.

Either way it will end up with Saddleback I would have thought who seem reasonable.

But I love their products so I'd run with it. I've got some 9 year old enve MTN rims that are still utterly perfect.

I'd go back and take a photo of the pothole and also a screen shot of your strava showing you weren't speeding and try and put in a claim against your local authority. Lots of pictures of the damage. Make sure everyone who was there who damaged their bikes put in a separate claim.

If its been reported and x amount of hours have gone past before your broken wheel then you might be able to put in a claim. Have a look on the councils website

Easy enough to do yourself or you can go through a no win no fee company.
