So, how did we all get on? No crashes for me which makes a change, stages were excellent, great fun, challenging but really good.
Highlight for me was the nipper that repaired a ****ed tyre with 3 zip ties at the top of stage 4, fair play for making that work!
As many pointless climbs as last year?
How did the weather hold up? It's been gopping down in Devon all day.
Drizzled most of the day but wasn't too bad, took me half of stage 1 to remember how to ride in the wet, been spoiled lately. And yes, couple of pointless climbs, but it's enduro1 so that's what you get! They did drop the transition timing for this race which made it a lot more fun on the transitions, riding round in bigger groups, bit more time to chat
Hey Leighton, just noseyed your profile vs Roots & Rain and recognised your bike!...I was the guy one in front/behind you going round on the raw alu Five 🙂
Sweet, mtb world is still a nicely small one! Good to ride round with you (where I could keep up!).
Any idea where you finished? I was 33 of 38 or something similar at the end so not great....think my holiday beer and food is catching up on me!
Yeah likewise!
Last time I checked I was 15th in Masters (not sure out of how many) but there were still a few more to roll in.
Definite big respect to the Cable Guy, best bodge of the day!
My mate was cable tie guy, cable ties gave up at bottom of stage 5,shame as it was his first enduro,He still had a great day tho, well done Carlos for a great race, hopefully numbers will be better next year,
would have had 1 more if the boss hadn't booked me in to put new guttering on the garage 🙁
will be doing the 3 fun ones later in the year though!

was a top event, loved the stages, right up my street managed to get 1st in the Sport Cat 8) - might go competetive next time and avoid getting held up on stages 😀
