Just looking into our 2021 options for me and the lad.

Due to the expense, we'll be slightly limited on which events we do so i'm thinking potentially starting with https://southernenduro.co.uk/tickets

But currently undecided on which event, we may start with event1, but it's a gazillion miles away... QECP is closer so that may end up being the one we go for.

I'd like to do a FoD one as he loves it there, but not seeing any dates yet. A BPW would be EPIC. I am hoping that the Mojo series makes a return which is father/son, dual timed event type thing, that'd be awesome.

Not sure what I will race this year, slightly spent on the fod mini enduros. I know ther isn’t an endless supply of stages but it feels like it’s stuck on repeat the last few I rode. Probably will enter when they come around though!
After that maybe some southern enduros, really enjoyed champs at minehead a couple years back. It was different and an over night race so that always keeps it interesting.

Funnily enough was talking about racing bpw just the other week. We raced a mini enduro there a couple years ago and it was the coldest I’ve ever been! Had to break ice off my pedals by hitting them with a rock! It got to the point where my chain froze and I threw in the towel!

I wonder how much racing will actually happen this year? I’ve not looked into any dates or venues yet. Got me thinking now! Would really like to go back to ardrock or one of their other events but it’s just a nightmare to get tickets

I am in for the Southern Enduro at QECP and Milland so far. Considering the mash up at QECP as well.

Enduro racing in 2021? There’s optimism for you!

Having managed just FoD at the beginning and Greythwaite at the end of this year, I’ll take whatever I can get and be very grateful.

I imagine the Welsh and Scottish events are least likely to happen due to the more cautious approach here?

Out of interest, was there a surge in cases at Greythwaite after all those hours waiting at the top of stage 2 breathing all over those queuing further down the hill? Or was being outside enough to stay safe?

Entries carried over from Welsh Enduro Series for Dyfi & PMBA @ Graythwaite & that’s it so far.

Depending how mad the world goes with Covid, I’ll probably do the Southern Enduros at Tiverton, Minehead & Triscombe as they are all within a sensible distance & the riding is good. Not travelling for the others to ride stuff that’s shyte compared to our local stuff (sorry Scott 😆). Possibly interested in some of the South Wales stuff too. Not bothered about the Mini’s - the trails they use are almost on our doorstep & we never ride them out of choice.

That will do after an enforced year off racing 🙂

I'm not positive of any races in the first half of 2021. Would like to do some races this year, hopefully the PMBA will run a couple of enduro races. I'd also like to do some XC, but very much at the fun end of the spectrum.

Tell me about the FoD events. Are they of a similar level to Southern enduro or harder?

Carried over my entry for Boltby Bash and got a voucher for PMBA, would like to do Gisburn if it goes ahead/can get in. Think the others probably too hardcore for me.

Hoping that PMBA manage something, I was also thinking Macavalanche but tother thread doesn't fill me with hope. I think another year of limited racing is ahead.

My PMBA Graythwaite and Southern Enduro Champs entries are carried over from this year. Will enter Southern Enduro Tiverton round and Triscombe if it goes ahead.

Anything that's on Forestry England land, won't be going ahead til the second half of the year at least I expect.

2021 will be pretty light on events again I'm sure

only live 15 minutes from graythwaite, numbers here are low as they have been all the way through this, what annoyed me that day was having no podiums, first time i would have been on it. i'm sure he could have managed a distanced one.

last year i had most pmba, all tweedlove, macavalanche, a couple of ses rounds, ard rock and ard moors entered so will be doing whatever get run at of that lot.

Might try and pick up some events but tbh I think the combination of uncertainty when it comes to creating events, and mad pent up demand and postponed events from last year, is probably going to mean that there'll be less events and the ones that do run will be very busy. Hopefully it works out for the organisers

I reckon the UKGE thing is just that he's tweaked the page description and it's caused an update to go out? But then it's not like UKGE has ever been very predictable or filled with sense so you never know. I mean, I was going to say that Steve seemed completely burned out and over it last time, but then, that was true the time before. And Si was talking about the two of them making some sort of return to "organised enduro racing" this year.

No idea if it'll actually happen or not but we have ard rock carried over from last year. Can't imagine it will happen with the huge amount of numbers that go and if it does happen I'd probably stay off site in the van and just take part in the race and avoid all the crowds to be safe which seems a total waste so hopefully we'll be able to carry over again into more normal times.

yep, i missed this year due to a broken hand and a pandemic. Currently in for ArdRock and ArdMoors but i honestly can't see much racing happening until 2022.

Booked in on southern enduro rd1 Milland and rd3 QECP.

Hopefully it will happen and if not then just happy to help support grass roots racing by entering early.

Need to keep up my top ten placings from the 3 I have done so far 🤞 Although I expect it will be a tough field this year

I’ve entered the Southern Enduro QECP mashup event as my first ever race. I’d love to hear any tips or advice from folks who have raced before. What do I need to know, what should I definitely do and what should I definitely not do?

I assume the mashup event will be a lower standard than the regular series, what are the tracks like? Are they still decently challenging?

Appltn the Southern enduro series is really chilled and the mashup even more so, you will have to do at least 2 runs of each stage but you don't have to do them in any order. Best thing you can do is just have fun with each run. The stages won't be massively challenging.

Bit of a thread resurrection……I’ve put my money where my mouth is and entered the 4th round of the Southern Enduro at Milland. Never done an MTB enduro before, or any other event for that matter. Really looking forward to it.

If anyone else on here is coming along give me a PM, it’d be good to meet some fellow riders off the forum. I’ll be the clueless looking one, dawdling around on a Dialled Alpine 😁

For next year I may get off my racing 'arse' and race a few - Tweed triple & Naughty to be specific.
