My MT 500 jacket has died and even though thoroughly disappointed with it ,I loved the massive put zips.
I see the single-track has good ones and can be found cheap enough.
Anyone not like their's?

That's the singletrack one though isn't it? Mt500 is £135 or £185 depending on size.

Not that it answers your question either way though.

You are correct Mr Brain
Have ordered one and shall moan as soon as it starts leaking!

Moan before, it's best to it build up when your catharsis is as minor as moaning.

I have two Singletrack 1 jacket's, bought the 2nd to use off the bike, due to how good I thought the first was.

There are 3 of us with them ,and we all recommend them (ST 1 not necessarily ST 2)

Slight thread hijack

What's the current equivalent of the old Endura Stealth softshell?

I still have one, but it's a bit tired. Perfect for cooler days when it's not raining though

This is the one I have, taken from a Doddy article in 2007 where it's described as waterproof. It's definitely not even close, but that's by the by, I have waterproofs

They did something called the Pro SL Softshell for a while but the website is showing that as almost all out of stock and what is left is on sale so I think it's discontinued.

I had 2 Stealth jackets over the years, it was my go-to for at least half the year for commuting purposes. First one was absolutely on its last legs when I wore it on a spectacularly gritty ride at Gisburn which killed it off completely. The second one is still going (just) although it's certainly not waterproof any more.

Windchill Jacket II - Black | Endura (endurasport.com)

I currently use this as a nice warm softshell. Showerproof too. Says for road use but great on the MTB too

I have 3 Singletrack jackets. They represent where my compromise lies between performance and cost.

They all work as well as pretty much any waterproof works, not all day.

They are a little bit boil in the bag, but yes, the pit zips can help.

Nice to wear a long sleeve base layer with them. Bare arms feel sweaty.

What's the stealth thing you're looking to replace actually like. Soft shell really only meaning "not a hard shell waterproof" it's difficult to do the obligatory "I've one of these, I recommend that"

I am reasonably sure there's a hardly worn one of those softshelll things in my wardrobe.

I gave up using it as it was hot ride in and cold when you stopped.

I believe the equivalent is the Fusion jacket. I’ve not noticed them on their website but they definitely still make them as we use them at work and regularly order them.

Freezing point mt500 for £70 is a bargain, that's my Xmas present sorted.

What's the sizing like on Endura jackets? Interested in the Endura sale as I need a waterproof. I have a 7mesh shower-proof that's great for packing and using if I get caught in a shower or something but I need something for those lovely evenings when it's raining as I set off and likely to stay raining all the way round.

I wear XL in most 'normal' clothes and the 7mesh is XL and fits great. I guess the obvious answer is to buy a more waterproof 7mesh but I can't resist a sale!

I'm lusting after the 7mesh skypilot, but as the budget doesn't stretch to the asking £400 (£400! Really??) I guess I'll be sticking with my MT500. It's survived Scottish downpours so I can't complain. I just find it a bit heavy and hot to lug around on  bikepacking tours in the warmer months, and its not very packable for carrying for multiple days.

What’s the sizing like on Endura jackets?

I'm normally a med in most cases but with Endura I'm a large for jackets, still a medium for trousers and shorts.
