You don't need to be an 'investor' to invest in Singletrack: 6 days left: 95% of target - Find out more
Anyone used the Endura MTR Spray Bib Shorts and care to comment? I'd ripped my old Endura bibs and need some new ones. I like the sound of these more than I like the price, although Tredz have them for £84 which is a bit more palatable. If not, can any suggest something similar?
I have the earlier version off these (orange logo, "cats tongue" panel on the back) . I like them a lot, but then I do get on with Endura stuff in general. They've worn well, good pad, good fit.
I have one major minus factor though... the waterproof seat panel makes them quite sweaty as soon as the temperature increases. For multi-day/bikepacking trips this can result in the pad remaining damp. Just something to consider.
Ah. I did have issues with my Singletrack II shorts and liner being too hot during the summer of '18. Given that I'm only really riding early mornings at the moment, that shouldn't be an issue. I suppose what I'm after is something a bit more thorn proof and heavier wearing than straight up roadie bibs.
I was planning on getting the new Galibier Pro 6 Endurance bib shorts, but am worried about what would happen to them on an encounter with some brmables, or blackthorn, etc.
They're certainly a thicker material.
Personally, I'd like Endura to bring back the MT500 range. The "lycra" stuff in particular., as it was always more robust than the, much thinner, roadie materials. I've managed to keep some of mine running and it's ideal. Maybe they could rebrand it as GR500 for the new Gravel generation.
Aye, the MT500 would've been perfect... 🤷♂️
