I have the Humvees for commuting - very suitable for cold and sub zero days, but slightly too warm for mild days.

I use them all-year around, if it's below freezing I'll make sure my knees are covered (either 3/4 padded bib or kneepads).

Work well, tough and keep out the weather.

Yeah I've bought a second pair at that price as the first have proved durable over a few winters. I find them generally warm enough and they have zip vents for cooling. Sizing is good for me 31w32l size small spot on.

I have no complaints about mine. For a day of riding in torrential rain I use waterproof trousers on top of the weather is cold.

I picked up a pair in the great wiggle sale. They've been worn alot & washed at least once a week since. I'll happily get another pair.

If it's below about -5 I might wear 3/4 bibs & long socks under them.

The blue ones are impossible to get dirty marks out of though.

I've got two pairs of Endura and one of Fox

The Endura fit better, waist and leg length, and the closure is vastly superior.

The Fox ones are a pain to remove with gloves/frozen fingers, when the buckle is full of mud, but are a much better fabric, warmer and a lot more waterproof.

Ideally I'd want a fox with a longer leg, but the next size up has a massive waist which I don't want.

Yeah, they are perfect for UK winter or autumn. I’ve had mine for 3 years now and they are going strong. Just layer up if you need extra protection, as folks say. However, I very rarely feel I need another layer. Make sure to use nixwax wash or similar to clean them as they rely on their DWR coating to keep water out. Works well!

Anyone know what the length is like? Based on the Endura size guide  I need a large but that only gives a waist size, not length. I'm 6'5" and normally buy 34" length jeans. Just wondering if I'd be better off buying an XL pair if they're longer and cinching the waist in a bit.

@jeffl

Endura stuff is 'standard' length - they're probably 32 at most.  Have a look at Ion who do a longer leg in some of their trews.

there is a thread about long leg mtb trousers on here for a month or two back.

@jeffl mine turned up today( pun intended ), I have to say I'm about a 32" inside leg and these are pleasingly the longest length trousers I've ever bought touching the ground sans boots  perfect thumbs up
