Hi all. Does anyone have an Endura MT500 II jacket? I like to look of them but I'm wondering if you can put your whole hand throigh the mitten style cuff as I know they would make me far too hot in all but the coldest of weather. At the moment its a toss up between that and the MTR Shell.

Cheers!

I have one and haven't used the thumb loop at all, so yes, you can easily fit your hand through and use it as a standard cuff.

I have one, best jacket I’ve ever had for proper foul days on the bike.

Order has been placed!  The extra 20% off at Evans made it too tempting.  Thanks all.

I have one. Really like it. I never use the thumb bit in the cuff, that's probably the one bit of the jacket I don't like, it feels like its the wrong size, perhaps the sleeves are marginally too short for my arms. Sticking my whole hand through the main cuff is fine though.

I got my mitts on a Decathlon 3 layer hiking jacket, just go into one of their retail sheds! I tell you what it's not dissimilar to Madison's top of the range 3 layer jacket. Pit zipped and not too shouty or plastered in toss **** logos! 60 quid, job jobbed and some beer money left over!

What have I done the price will double!

I found the sleeves on the MT500 too short, which was quite disappointing as I liked the rest of the jacket. I'm tall though

Sorry, only just back to the thread. Yeah. this is a good bit of kit - tough, pretty breathable and waterproof. Looks great in orange too 🙂 I'm sure you'll like it.

its a lovely looking jacket but as others have said the fit is strange, i find it too short in the body and too wide..

the medium felt about right but too short, so opted for a large, the body still feels short and the jacket is way too wide..

had a fight with a barb wire fence and lost.. i returned it to endura but they returned saying it was beyond repair..

but at least they looked at it.

keep on meaning to get some patches and repair myself

Hmmm, as a bit of a lanky git that doesn't sound great. Still, I can always return if it doesn't fit. Thank you all.

Got a large recently, i’m only 5’9 so fits great in the body, arms are long enough for me but on the snug side, defo no room, even for skinny pads,(once in a blue moon problem),not worn on the bike yet, but did well on a long wet hike with the pooch.

I've just dropped for one from Evans too, ordered a L and XL to try them both. Couldn't really say no at £120!

Well it arrived and I have to say it's a lovely bit of kit. A large seems to fit my lankey 6'2 frame well apart from the built in cuffs which are a smidge short but I would never use them. If only it weren't cut short at the front for cycling it would make a perfect jacket for walking.

Yeah I still use mine for walking but you do end up pretty soggy at the waist.

Love mine, I'm 6'2" with big chest/shoulders and the XL fits like a dream.

Wore it for a quick walk last night and it was perfect.

Ordered to replace my 7yr old Altura Mayhem which has finally started to leak on the shoulders  Hopefully this will last as long!

I love mine. PRetty waterproof, looks good, fits good and I had a big wash out while wearing it on a berm, took the skin off my shoulder, scagged holes in my jersey but the jacket was unscathed! A great product.

I haven't washed mine yet, just sloshed it in a warm bath a few times.... Hope it keeps it's performance after repeated winter machine washes..
