I currently use Endura humvee shorts with lycra 6panel liners

In this hot weather I find that I get sore cheeks, I think from where I get sweaty and the lycra is pulling the hairs on my cheeks.

Are the mesh liners cooler?

Cheers
Paul

sweaty because you insist on baggy shorts

sore because 200 series chamois in said shorts are shit !

endura shorts with 400 and 600 series chamois are good , wouldnt use a 200 chamois to mop up spilt coffee

It isn't the chamois bit that is the problem, it is the area to the outside from that where I have a problem.

I seriously doubt the Lycra is pinching you arse hair, and anyway, Lycra with holes in it is just to make that worse, right? It's probably a bit of chaffage from the baggies rubbing. Ditch the baggies, really it's the way forward
