Is this any good? Have some clickfast compatible shorts; shorts over bibs tend to slide down given my lack of waist…
Yes, they're good, but the best form of shorts retention is braces.
They do clickfast bib liners though?
Ah, well they'd be the best of both worlds!
I have a pair, and I’m suitably well padded.
They’re good.
I’d buy them again.
They do clickfast bib liners though
The poppers on the bib liners are vertical so they're only attached to the outer shorts by 2 poppers.
This isn't handy when they unpop half way down an enduro stage and your baggies move down to your knees😳
As my body shape is "weeble", braces are the best option for keeping my shorts up (or a diet).
I found the click fast kept the shorts all together - but the cheapest clickfast liner pad was a bit crap for me. Found in better off with their fs260 bibs or DHB Aeron waist shorts underneath. But I never found myself losing my outer shorts as I’ve got a big enough arse to keep them up 🤣
@joebristol The FS260s don’t have the poppers on them though?
The concept is great, but Like Phil, my bib poppers are vertical, but the poppers on my shorts are horizontal. Wtf is that all about!!
When I was skinny, I had some and they worked well, without the poppers I found the shorts would slip down (which I put down to the lycra material being slippery)...I'm now considerably bigger and the outer shorts are still falling down but suspect that is more down to my waist just being able to fit in the shorts.
I think some click-fast shorts would be handy again, but I never found the inner shorts to be that comfy, so I'm not overly keen on buying some as I've a fear that the inners will still be very uncomfy and I'm so fat that the click-fast solution won't actually work!
I think they’re great and worth the money. Need to get back in shape though as my current ones unpop if I breathe out 😂
I don't normally wear liners, but i just bought a pair of Humvee 2 that had the liner in. I've found they're pretty good, not for the padding but for the sweat management. Normally i'm soaked through after a ride, but these seem to prevent the outer shorts from getting too bad.
I've always worn Endura shorts and liners. The liners that come with the shorts (grey pad) work fine for me. But I bought an additional liner with a red pad and I do find it more comfortable, so tend to wear those on longer rides i.e. more than 6 hours.
I've found that the extra comfort of other inner/lycra shorts is a far bigger advantage than the ability to click inner and outer together.
IMO, I have not found Endura inner shorts that comfy compared to my Galibier, Pearl Izumi, Mavic or Nike inners...only Altura were less comfy.
Is there any other sport where your pants are connected to your shorts?
Wear the most comfortable bibs, under the most practical shorts and, if they won't stay up, then braces are the most effective solution
I like the clickfast liners. The studs work, the pad is comfy and the mesh material allows some breathability. However the "rubberised" leg grippers cause a rash. There is another variant without the rubberised bit but I can't tell them apart online from photos.
Utterly useless when I tried them. The poppers on shorts and liners were nowhere near each other when I had inners and outers where they were comfortable to ride in.
Bib shorts and baggies for me. If outer shorts catch on saddle/branch I don’t want them dragging my inners out of place.

I’ve never understood why connected inners and outers are even a thing.

Running.
The inner and outer are actually the same garment on my running shorts.
the best form of shorts retention is braces.
Which braces for enduro (not Endura)?
Assuming that's an actual question and not just comedy, (sorry, can't tell) I just got some some recommended ones from Amazon. The elastic is much wider than traditional braces, and because of that the clips are quite chunky too. Still flat enough that they don't cause undue discomfort when sat on a chair or in my van, but YVMV, depending on you seating arrangement and princess/pea co-efficient.
I think I'd go for travel ones with plastic clips over metal next time, but not a huge problem.
Was an actual question, ta. I seem to be forever pulling some of my baggies up.
If you have a link to the type you've found work well, as a guideline, that'd be handy.
🙂
I am Bibshorts under baggies, usually Endura in both. Slippage is a thing on occasion, I guess I got used to it.
I bought a couple of pairs of Aussie Grit integrated bibs and baggies in their closing down PSA sale on here a couple of years ago and they have been a revelation. So comfy, no tight waist band, always stay put. I’m surprised they aren’t a common bit of kit with other manufacturers and sadly both pairs are on their way out now, having been used for pretty much all my MTB and gravel riding since I got them.
