cheers Mic, might want to change the end date to a day later on both though. the challenges will finish on 12am on dec 31 - which means any miles ON dec 31st won't count, so if anyone gets competitive at the last minute (us lot?!) they might miss out..

Still think it should be distance v altitude rather than pure miles, I'll never get 40 -50 a ride due to the terrain I ride.

I'm in just to shall try and stay on the first page, never beat all the flat distance riders or those who hide their workouts.
bruneep, if endo did a distance v alt then we could choose that, but it isn't an option. So we can't.
Road challenge is added for the roady tossers among us, and to allow the road commute miles ( even if done on an MTB) to count as well.
There are going to be some lucky sods who can commute offroad to work.
As for the hidden workouts, yep annoying but its how some people set their profiles up.

i think hidden workouts should not count, I lose distance by starting mine away from the house to protect my bike from thieves but am not worried about a couple of km's each ride as I'm never gonna worry the leaderboard
