I can’t find any 12 mm screw in for a 240 hub would someone on here be able to machine a 20 mm alloy bar with a 12mm hole or is this not right ?

Front? No that wouldn't be right, 20mm is 110 spaced (but not boost).

Yeah, I think you can't find it because it's not really a thing. Front goes 20mm, 15mm, 9mm, rear goes 12mm, 10mm. There's some weird nonstandards but really not many.

If you do have some mad nonstandard 12mm front then probably tophats in a 20mm adaptor set will work best, rather than a massive step-down axle. But I think to help we need to know what you've got

Front , It would work the same as using a qr adapter that they do for a 135 mm they do a 15mm screw in end cap but I was looking for 12mm so I can use them on my gravel bike as well as my mtb

It’s a 20mm at present was going to use it on a 15mm gravel fork but they changed the spacing to 12 mm which looking through Dt Swiss tech page they don’t do a screw in 12 mm ,they do a spacer for qr which is probably 5mm with a spindle as I have one of them . it’s a 240 s hub just didn’t want to part with the wheels

The qr threaded end caps are just caps, no internal sleeve needed
15mm end caps with a 15od, 12id axle sleeve? Or machine the qr end caps to 12mm?

I have 240 hubs (well, spline 1) with 12mm caps. They just push in, like the 15 or QR ones do. No idea where they came from - may have been on the wheels as OE

Somewhere deep in the DT website is a list of part numbers that may help you

I think I've got a few spares for DT Swiss wheels in the garage.

PM me exactly what you're after and I'll see if I've got he right ones.

OP has threaded endcaps on a 240 OS hub. Push on won't work.

I know they have to be screw on but it amazes me that they make them for the 350 hubs but not 240

I was wondering that as it wasn't stated but as has been mentioned the standard 240 endcaps are pushon.  I've got a 240 OS hub and had a hard enough job converting it from 20mm to 15mm. The screw on caps are a pain in the butt as they appear to be made of soft cheese.

Anyway, a quick google presents a potential solution...
