Hi, this is basically post lockdown dreaming.
Before the flames the missus is 65, and loosing biking confidence but still exercising and loves being out enjoying new views etc etc
Anyway are there suggestions (Europe I guess) for somewhere we can do With pref ebike hire, Car free easy tracks (green maybe blue in UK terms but non techie) with good route maps or signage, reasonable accommodation, Maybe pickup/drop off facilities, etc so we could do a few days with great scenery, views, Small villages, nice pubs, history, architecture etc etc And fairly reliable weather
I’ve found some barge bike hols (stay on barge hotel or bike to next point) which are a possibility as are the french canals and tracks, anyway if anybody has any ideas that would be appreciated, ta
Was thinking about the "route of two canals" in France a while back. Basically from the Atlantic above Bordeaux, down to the Med near Montpelier. Full thing is about 600km I think, but I reckon you could find a tour which did some of it or just take longer. Have ridden about 60km of it south of Bordeaux, and it was beautiful. Lots of history, little villages etc. We were there in September and weather was perfect.
