Hi,
I just upgraded from a blackberry to a Samsung Galaxy Ace and getting my emails are VERY hit and miss.
I was out all day today, no emails on the phone, get home put the
wi-fi on and I get about 6 emails! So it seems I only get emails when wi-fi is on! 👿
So am I missing/need to change a setting in the phone to get emails when out and about? (like the blackberry)

Is data enabled?
email comes via data so you need either wifi or 3G enabled
settings : data usage : enable
or else you may have a row of odd little icons on your desktop that are toggles for various functions. The one that looks like an up arrow next to a down arrow is the data togle
If they don't appear on your desktop screen(s), try dragging your finger down right from the top of the screen - you may get various things on offer when you do so
(my phone's not a samsungso this is generic advice)
Thanks, but yes data is on, yeah I fond the handing top of screen pull down, handy for turning on and off wi-fi and GPS.
Maybe 3G cover is rubbish where I been but I have been a biggish town so should be OK
