Hi, a friend of mine has offered me a used MK 1 Epiphany frame, not for free though!

I have always fancied getting one but the price was always a stumbling block so was thinking about taking it of his hands. Yes I know it's not the latest frame design but couldn't afford a new frame then and £2500 as near as damn it for the latest SST 2 is even further out of my reach.

Anyhow, just in case I go for it, I do already have a pair of forks which might work with the frame but want to see what the forum thinks, they are a pair of DT Swiss XMC 130's.

As the Epiphany has 5 1/4" or 133mm of rear travel, would they be OK to use.

The forks have a crown to axle measurement of 505mm and of course 130mm of travel.

Thanks

The 2006 Ells brochure suggests a 125 - 150mm fork for the The MK 1 Epiphany so your 130's will be fine. The head angle is quite steep on these frames, should come out at just under 70 degrees.

I sold a Mk1 about 4 months ago. I've run it 150mm/140mm and 125 mm all work fine.Lovely bike. Just check the magnesium swingarm for cracking but not while you're smoking!!
