Does anyone have any experience with this trainer?

I'm looking for something my partner and I can use to get a bit more training in over the winter. We need to be able to use it indoors so needs to be quiet enough to not disturb neighbours. I was looking at fluid trainers but like the idea of being able to change the resistance for intervals.

Used be for a couple of years and can recommend. Fairly quiet and get the job done.

I looked at this one but ended up getting an elite fluid one from Wiggle cheap as lack of noise was my primary requirement. Changing gear alters resistance, just like on a real bike 🙂

This is the one I have and shortbread has (I think) Gets excellent reviews. I've had mine about 5 yrs now and still going strong. Very quiet and the resistance is much more realistic than friends magnetic ones I've tried

Every so often they have it for £140

I've got the slightly older version, I use it indoors no problem, the elastogel roller makes it fairly quiet.

Selling it though as got a Bkool trainer now which is a bit louder but has an interactive simulator that runs on the laptop

It's in the classifieds just search for turbo trainer or pm me if interested, got trainer with 8 resistance levels, riser block and some sufferfest videos.

Yep funkydunc that's the one I've got and at that price too. Good bit of kit and has helped me keep a bit of fitness following fatherhood.

If you don't want all the extra bits, the cheapest I could find the trainer on it's own was Chain Reaction - currently £85 (same as Halfords) but extra £10 off using clear2015 discount code making it £75

Thanks for the recommendations. I like the sound of the Elite fluid trainer from Wiggle. Mainly because it's quieter. If it really is quiet I'll use it a lot.
