This happens each time I go under any pylon line which crosses the road,
It's in the groin area
Have other people noticed this?
If I stand up then I don't get the shocks, but sat down there quite painful,
If I remember I stand, other times I get sharp reminder why I should of stood!

I'd be interested to know if this is common,

Google is your friend:

The answer is to be touching metal on your bike as you ride under, apparently.

Same phenomenon whereby your climbing kit hums and vibrates if there's lightning around. Time to get down off the tops.
