Heading to Ross on Wye on Saturday night and will be passing through Rhyader on way down, can anyone suggest a decent route starting there; about 15 - 20 miles, long techy descents preferred? Looks like there is some decent stuff on the OS map!
Cheers
This one is a good one.

I've just move near there but have lots of jobs to do before I'm allowed out on my bike 🙁 otherwise I'd join you.
That looks pretty good does that, cheers! Much better idea than doing the elan valley 10 mile road race my brother is doing! Hopefully the weather isn't to grim.
That link doesn't work for me.
The golf links and the Miner's Track both make for a load of fun. Loads of stuff available on google.
Link doesn't take you direct but there is a 'did you mean' comment under which takes you there.
Are the miners and golf tracks the ones going over between minor road and the reservoir? Any direction preferable?
Here you go, enjoy.

call in at Clive Powell's (Elan Cyclery). He or Neil will give you the low down on good routes.
