I’m riding elan valley area tomorrow and wondered if anyone had any gpx’s?
I’m riding gravel rather than mtb but don’t mind techy terrain.
I have a 47 mile loop I’ve done before but it’s at least 50% road
We are starting from the visitor centre, anyone got any similar length loops with less road?
Thanks

rode this in the summer...

http://www.mbwales.com/listings/elan-epic/

there is a gpx downloadable file

it was pretty tough in the dry - not sure i'd fancy it in the wet 🙂

Started from near the town, but i guess you could pick it up from the visitors centre

Stunning scenery, but there are NO marking on the paths, so a decent GPS device or map reading skills is essential.

I'll be riding around there tommorow morning also.

Be aware a section of the cycle path/bridleway is still closed between Penygarreg and Craig coch due to a rock fall, there is diversion that takes in a section of road.

Plenty of other options around the valley using minimal amount of road, I'm guessing the gpx linked above is probably the elan epic, bring some waterproof socks!

Did this in the summer. Good loop but not sure how much fun some bits would be on a gravel bike and the south west section will be - erm - quite damp now I should imagine since the trail was pretty much a hub deep river in August...
