Hey,

Anyone slackened up their Titus El Guapo's?

I have gone from an Alpine 160 and even though the El G is a pretty sorted bike, the angles of the alpine are making it feel steep 😉

If you have slackened yours up, have you noticed any negatives? And how does it ride once its raked out?

All the best,
Lee.

I am interested in this as I'm toying with the idea of a Guapo as my next bike.

I may be wrong but I think the Guapo has followed fashion and slackened a little over the years.

Which version are you comparing to the Alpine?

Yep got a works components slack set in my v2 el guapo, 1 degree of extra slackness added. No negatives that I have experienced, feels great downhill and still climbs nicely due to suspension design. I doubt 2 degrees would feel any different!

i'd take endurogangsters comment with a pinch of salt - he wouldn't know how it rides uphill cos he pushes it up all the climbs when i ride with him!
