I need to replace the Freehub on some El Guapo rattlesnake hubs. On-one/planet X don't have any in stock, but I think I've read somewhere that these hubs are the same as the Stan's Neo Durasync Hubs. Does anyone know if I could use a Stan's Freehub as a direct replacement for the rattlesnake freehub? It's the 6-pawl Sram XD version, if that makes any difference?
I asked px about this myself a few days ago. they said this hub was the right one:

Yeah, I can confirm you can use the neo freehub as a direct replacement. Did you destroy the splines on the original freehub body like I did?
Thanks for the answers - the bearings failed catastrophically on mine - not sure about other damage, so thought I might just try to replace the whole freehub.
I believe they're made in China by Chosen hubs. I've got a rear one sat here which never got put into a wheel, it's got a shimano freehub on it.
I'll probably lace it into the WTB scrapers I bought last week.
@cogwomble - don't. Spare yourself some time and money (and nerves), even the cheapest novatecs are better and last longer than this crap. It's made of clay or something similar, deffinitly not some durable metal that should be the material of choice for bicycle parts.
I've got a feeling the splines on mine might be a but knackered. how would you tell from riding it? noise, slipping?
