[Closed] Eggbeater 2/3 Pedals, do they fall apart?

Thinking of replacing some XT pedals with Eggbeaters for CX due to better mud shedding.

However, reviews seem to suggest they fall about after a year.

Is this the case? Would regular greasing help prolong use as happy to do a bit of maintenance?

Thanks

Some folk have problems with them - and are vociferous about it. Many don't and tend not to make a fuss about it.

Crank Brothers have upped their game since many of these reviews were written and offer a good warranty. I use Candys on my bikes and they do thousands of miles between my intermittent attempts at servicing (I'd like to make out its an annual thing but it's less frequent than that).

Service mine every 800 miles or so. No worries with mine and I've been using them for 10+ years
