After all the kerfuffle with the Geometron and bikes getting longer every year, I decided to get a bike waaaay bigger than anything I've ridden before (partly because I've always bought into the size down if you want a playful bike and over the years have tried to incorporate 360s and suchlike into my repertoire) with a whole damn 76mm of additional reach.

Anyhow, now I'm riding a gate, I've almost immediately discovered a phenomenon whereby the rules of traction are re-written and you can pull all sorts of silly driftage without death, injury or excessive embarrasment. It's almost like the bit in the matrix where time slows down.

Has anyone else experienced this and is there any other cool stuff that the magic of geometry can provide?

I can drift my fatbike, but I think that's because of the massive tyres rather than how long the bike is?
