I have a very weak right arm, due to a tendon that is about to break ( but it won’t so the hurt continues)
I need to get about 250 psi into the shock on my e-bike. The std fox / RS ones are hard work - my superdooper Lezeyne one fell apart the first time I used it.
1) can I use a floor track pump (gently)
2) what else is out there that I could use?

Yeah they do that. I gave up when the replacement they sent did exactly the same
The trouble is the high pressure. A normal track pump isn’t going to get to 250PSi, even some kind of super roadie one isn’t likely to get there. FWIW it takes a lot of effort to get my tubeless pump to fill its chamber much beyond 100PSi
Because of the small chamber in the fork/shock you generally just want to repeatedly shift small amounts of air to get to the desired pressure.
The only fix that comes to mind is swapping the shock for something with a coil spring

No, they only go to about 180-200 psi (super dooper track/velodrome pumps).
Only thing i've seen is a shock pump with a curved/cupped rubber foot that you can press against the frame, like old school roadie frame fit pumps. And i've no idea who makes them.
You might be able to fabricate one from Sugru though.

I've been making do with a cheap shock pump for years & am looking to buy a decent digital pump.
I had settled on Lezeyne, but now I've got doubts. Can anyone suggest a reliable accurate digital pump?
I'm also on the lookout for a better shock pump, I've got a Beto one which is ok for forks but when a shock or seatpost needs really high pressure ~300psi it's very difficult to get there. All the online reviews seem to suggest Lezyne but perhaps not based on this thread...
Small Nitrogen cylinder and regulator?
Lots of those small cheap car 12v compressors claim to be rated to 300psi. I’d be amazed if they’d manage it, but one might do the bulk of the work and finish it off with a hand pump, so to speak.
You could call someone like J Tech to ask. I spoke to them about shock pumps a while ago. I wasn’t quite following what the guy was saying, but he seemed to be suggesting they had a method to quickly inflate (DH forks in this case at 210 psi) and then tweak at the end. Might be worth a phone call.

Though my DVO one seems fine DVO have a procedure to set up the pump iirc so it loses less air.
Sometimes cheapy Halfords pumps are great to use smoother and lighter to handle at higher pressures ime.
RS ones are complete crap

From my experience yes. Both fell apart and they seemed to have forgotten that you actually needed a place to hold the thing
