When I started riding in London I likened it to white water canoeing - flow, solid obstacles, uncomfortable if you got it wrong etc.
I used to the spend the weekend riding around town, playing with cars, learning roads and learning to read drivers. In all that time, Ive NEVER had a scare on a london street. Never risked a t-bone, never hit a ped, but always made good progress and surprisingly enough always obey red lights 😛
I still think of it as a sport as much as a way of getting to work.
The only thing I dont understand is why on such a beautiful morning as today, some people ride to work like they want to get there quickly.....!
