The Girlfriend and myself were planning on going to for a weeks riding/climbing next week, and thinking of the Lakes...

Anyone come across some bargain accommodation that they rate?

Stayed in the YHA in Keswick next to the river once which was pretty good, reasonably priced and has a kitchen lounge etc

Didn't stay long it was only an over night stop off in the way home from the 'puffer.

I like camping, we do it a lot, but the weather is looking a bit mixed, and a cottage will be much more comfortable for a week of riding, some of the clothes might even dry....
the 5.10s not so much

eBay is a good shout, hadn't considered it.

Depending on your budget. I've stayed here before and loved it.

Just got back from a weekend here, just north of the National Park but very reasonably priced for luxury cottages and a very well run place...

Dalegarth Guesthouse in Buttermere is very reasonable for the Lakes. Not stayed there but met the owner the other night and he seemed a really nice guy.

Google Sally's cottages - Derwent Dale or Cherry Pip both look decent and under £400. Plenty others.
