The Girlfriend and myself were planning on going to for a weeks riding/climbing next week, and thinking of the Lakes...
Anyone come across some bargain accommodation that they rate?
Have a look on ebay - honest - you might get lucky
Stayed in the YHA in Keswick next to the river once which was pretty good, reasonably priced and has a kitchen lounge etc
Didn't stay long it was only an over night stop off in the way home from the 'puffer.
Camping barn in buttermere.
How about a Yurt ? My mate has some in the North Lakes and then also in Langdale too...

I like camping, we do it a lot, but the weather is looking a bit mixed, and a cottage will be much more comfortable for a week of riding, some of the clothes might even dry....

Dalegarth Guesthouse in Buttermere is very reasonable for the Lakes. Not stayed there but met the owner the other night and he seemed a really nice guy.
