Other than an angleset does anybody make an external 56mm dia headset cup? Or a 10mm thick crown race would also work 😕

Responses from the hive mind much appreciated!

No not that I know of - 56mm od is for integrated cups, not seen anything that could fit an external cup into that

44mm is the usual OD for external cups and tapered steerers. What frame is it for?

I'd really like a Banshee Spitfire but it is designed around 160mm/545 a-c forks with a ZS56 lower cup.

I have 150mm/530mm a-c revs and can't afford new forks as well as the frame so was looking to see if you could get an external cup for a 56 head tube to add a bit of stack height until the budget stretched to new forks as the BB height is already low on Spitfires.

The hope headset guide only states what they make not what is possible 😉

There is no reason you couldn't have an EC56 cup other than bike manufacturers not designing for it. Canecreek do a EC56 lower cup for their angleset but that is rather pricey and I don't want to change the geometry. I just wondered if they also existed in "normal" style headsets.
