I wonder if the STW massive can assist please.
My neighbour bought a used Haibike with Yamaha system. Worked fine when testing before purchase but now throwing up error codes.
Hoping someone on here could recommend a good bike shop with the knowledge, tools, etc to help diagnose the issue and fix.
Thanks.
I don't know about Yamaha but I know Kinetics does a lot of work with Bosch systems, I'd give Ben a shout and see what he says.

I think that the Yamaha system may be the one used on Giant bikes, may be worth checking.
If so I recommend speaking with Pedal Power in West Calder if they are local enough.
I think you do have some remit, even with 2nd hand goods. Not entirely sure, but sold as used it should at least do what it is supposed to do, and if it doesn't you can launch an action to claim back your money.

Assuming the bike wasn’t bought from a shop the buyer doesn’t stand a chance. Tested, working, everyone happy, now the new owners responsibility. The only way that would differ would be if the seller was proved to be deceitful, but good luck with that
Haibike still use Yamaha so first thing I would be doing is getting in touch with a Scottish dealer. Seems to be three in Scotland according to Google.

Talking to a gent who recently just spent £1200 replacing a Yamaha/giant motor (& they were reluctant to supply that, due to a lack of warranty stock) they are most definitely not the same as the pure Yamaha setups. Go talk to a hai-bike dealer
