I was trying to remove the bosch motor from the frame to install a new dropper cable. One bolt stuck and has rounded off. I bought three kits to try and remove the bolt but just made it worse.

Will a garage or engineering workshop have a paid service to remove the bolt?

Need one nearish to Reading if anybody has been stupid enough to do something similar.

These guys are not a million miles away and seem to have great reports on various forums etc.. I've just emailed them this weekend about fixing our Eeb.

Got a picture of the stuck bolt?
It might influence the approach.

What are these 'kits' you've tried?

Most Bosch motor bolts are Torx Plus not just normal Torx which might explain the rounded off bolt. I had to drop the motor out recently and bought a single Torx Plus bit, quite a big difference in fit.

Be careful on removing the bolt if its a carbon frame.

These are the three kits I have bought and failed with.

I will post a picture when i get home, the bolt sits flush with the bracket so no chance of a pipe grip style removal.

I now have the correct bit and single tool for removal 🙂 Non carbon thankfully

That would be ace if you could. They mention they only read their emails a few days a week though, I will try and make contact with them.

Many thanks

I rang them this morning, answered straight away and said "drop it in when you like".

My plan is to take tomorrow/Weds afternoon. But if you need a day or two to get it over to me, i can wait.

Forgot, to finish the thread with the outcome.

All done now, thanks to the Ebike Motor Centre. Bolt removed and the motor cover was resprayed.

Thanks to Weeksy for the suggestion and the amazing gesture of dropping off on my behalf.
