You don't need to be an 'investor' to invest in Singletrack: 6 days left: 95% of target - Find out more
Hi all,
I'm after a bit of local knowledge. I'm doing a 4x4 experience in Wrexham one weekend morning in September or October and I'd like to take the party I'm going with ebiking somewhere nearby on the afternoon. LLandegla is the obvious choice but the only ebikes they have for hire are Orange full suss's at a £100 a day, which is too much for just an afternoons fun (the others in the group are not mountain bikers, they just want to try it on fireroads and easy double/singletrack somewhere nice). Does anyone know anywhere reasonably close to Wrexham where we could hire ebikes and do some green/blue style offroad trails. Thinking it through it would need to be within an hours drive of Wrexham and we'd need to pickup and drop off the bikes from the start of the ride or we're likely to run out of time.
Cheers

Delamere? £50 for 3 hours
Maybe if you ring and try to strike a deal you could get a half day rate for a bunch of bikes quite a lot cheaper, but given the price of eg bikes £100/day doesn't seem outrageous.
Delamere is about an hour from Wrexham, and there is a hire bike place there. You'll need someone local to show you around though because the marked trails are very family orientated. PM me if that goes, I ride Delamere and would be happy to ride out if convenient.
Edit - there you go, my long reply beaten with some actual knowledge!
Never even thought of Delamere. Ages since I've been there so didn't know they hired ebikes. Thank you for the guiding offer. I may well take you up on it.
£100 for all day doesn't sound bad until you factor in that Grisedale Mountain bikes will hire you a full suss for around half that for the day. And the bike shop at Whinlatter too.
